Editorial policy
Grand Screen Culture aims to make cinema culture clear, considered and enjoyable to read. Our editorial choices favour accuracy, independence and a fair account of what a subject can and cannot show.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication and give enough context for readers to understand the point being made. When a subject is disputed or uncertain, we say so rather than presenting one interpretation as settled fact.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to secure favourable treatment for a venue, product or partner. A relationship or contribution that could reasonably affect how a piece is understood will be disclosed clearly.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, we welcome a message through the Contact page. We review the detail, correct confirmed mistakes and make the change clear when it materially affects the meaning of a published piece.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or otherwise arranged partner material is labelled plainly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, they are identified as illustrative rather than documentary.
The cinema is part of the story
A room, a ticket, a pause in the day: the experience around a film can be as telling as the images on screen.
